Prankster in MassKara biking event apologizes

 Adrian P. Nemes III

“I WANT to apologize.”

This was the statement of the spectator on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, who went viral on social media after he handed a water scooped from a dirty stream and gave it to a participant of the 1st Balik Yuhom XC Race on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

In a radio interview, the prankster, a Grade 12 student, asked the complainant to forgive him for what he had done.

“I only wanted to pour it on her but she asked to drink it instead,” he said.

On Monday, the video showing him giving water taken from a dirty stream by the race track to the participant made rounds on social media.

Councilor Claudio Puentevella, who earlier said that he will call for a committee hearing regarding the matter, said the complainant already went to his office and that of the City Legal Office for advice.

Puentevella said that he has assured the complainant that they are willing to assist her should she decide to pursue charges against the prankster.

He said that the complainant and the prankster are set to meet at Barangay Vista Alegre where they will try to patch up the issue.

The complainant has already lodged unjust vexation complaint against the prankster before the Police Station 5.
