MOISES Padilla Vice Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo and her husband Felix Mathias Segundo Yulo III attended the pre-trial proceeding on their direct assault case in Isabela town Wednesday, September 26.

Their lawyer, Karol Joseph Chiu, confirmed.

Both the vice mayor and her husband were charged with direct assault upon a person in authority, but they were able to post bail amounting to P12, 000 each in April this year.

The criminal complaint was in relation to the accusation of former Moises Padilla police chief, Senior Inspector Alan Reloj, against the couple, who was arrested in a police checkpoint at Crossing Magallon in December 2017.

Meanwhile, Chiu said the couple did not enter any plea during the arraignment on September 14. The court instead entered a plea of not guilty.
