PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte will be arriving in Bacolod City on April 11 for the campaign sorties of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).

Sunstar-Bacolod source, who requested not to be named, confirmed on Monday, April 8, that President Duterte will lead the political rally of the senatorial candidates of PDP-Laban in Bacolod City.

The source said the activity will be hosted by Grupo Progreso (GP) led by Mayor Evelio Leonardia.

Bacolod City already received a communication from the Office of the President and they are now finalizing their preparations with the Presidential management staff.

The activity will start at 4 p.m. at the Pope John Paul II Tower at the Reclamation Area.

Last month, GP also signed an alliance with the regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) for mutual support and cooperation for the May 13 elections.

The alliance agreement was signed by Leonardia, head of GP, and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, chairperson of HNP, during the campaign rally for the HNP senatorial candidates held at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod on March 25.
