THE Rotary Club of Bacolod, in partnership with Melba's Farm, initiated a tree planting activity on August 15, 2021 in Barangay Cabatangan, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Around 222 seedlings were planted over the weekend at the Melba's Farm as its continuing project in line with Rotary's 7th Area of Focus – “Supporting the Environment,” and as part of the club's goal to plant at least 888 trees for the Rotary year 2021-2022.

At least 42 Rotary Club of Bacolod Life-Changing officers, members led by president Pauline Cuaycong and Past District Governor Edgar Sy, visiting guests, Melba's Farm management, and residents of Barangay Cabatangan participated in the tree planting activity.

The "Plant Today for a Better Tomorrow" tree planting project is an investment that the Rotary Club of Bacolod pursues by putting its time and resources into the environment in a bid to touch the lives of those involved and the communities it served. (PR)
