Real estate administrator shot dead in Escalante

AN ADMINISTRATOR of a real estate in Escalante City was killed by unidentified motorcycle-riding suspects at 8 a.m. Thursday, August 1.

The victim was identified as Bonifacio Gerarman, 63, administrator of late Juan Caminos's real estate, and a resident of Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City.

Gerarman was already lying lifeless with gunshot wounds on different part of his body when the responding officers arrived at the crime scene beside JPM Bakeshop.

According to police investigation, the victim was walking along Gomez Street, Barangay Balintawak. When Gerarman reached JPM Bakeshop, unidentified men followed him and shot him using an unknown caliber of firearms and immediately fled.

Recovered from the crime scene were three fired cartridge case of caliber .45, one live ammunition, one fired bullet, and one deformed slug.

Hot pursuit operation is currently ongoing. It is led by Police Lieutenant, Colonel Necerato Sabando.

Motive in the killing is still being determined, the Escalante City police reported.
