Repatriated OFW in Bacolod tests positive for Covid-19

THE Department of Health (DOH) Western Visayas has reported another positive coronavirus disease (Covid-19) case in Bacolod City bringing the number to 15.

In its latest bulletin, the new patient is a 38-year-old male, a repatriated overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) and is now in the quarantine facility of Bacolod.

The City Health Office (CHO) is now validating the background of Patient No. 15.

Last month, two repatriated OFWs in Bacolod were also tested positive for Covid-19. Both patients claimed to be asymptomatic.

Aside from Bacolod City, new confirmed Covid-19 case was also recorded yesterday in Janiuay, Iloilo, a 33-year-old female repatriated OFW.

As of June 3, 2020, Western Visayas has a total of 117 confirmed Covid-19 cases. Of 117, 23 are active cases, 84 recovered and 10 deaths.
