SENATORIAL bets former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque and retired police director general Ronald Dela Rosa reiterated their support to President Rodrigo Duterte, and if they win in the elections in 2019, they will support the administration in the Senate through legislation.

Roque, who was on stage with Duterte Saturday during the Masskara Festival, said that obviously, the President supports his candidacy for senator because he is running under the regional party of the Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte-Carpio, Hugpong ng Pagbabago.

He said that since he has already resigned as the presidential spokesman, he is now entitled to his own personal opinion but he remains committed and supportive of Duterte.

He said that he didn't see any negative in the Duterte administration given the overwhelming support of the people through the results of the recent survey.

Roque said that his advocacy when he becomes senator would be the feeding program for children, free medical health, free irrigation and the proper implementation of the Universal Health Care Law.

Dela Rosa, who was also here in Bacolod City over the weekend for the Masskara Festival, said that his advocacy in the Senate is the eradication of illegal drugs and corruption, which are also the priority of Duterte. (TDE)
