THE San Carlos City's observance of the Fire Prevention Month started early morning of March 1 with a motorcade around the city led by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Acting City Fire Marshall Marilou Dela Cruz said they will also have a mall exhibition stand at the City Mall where pictures, uniforms and equipment, among others, of the BFP-San Carlos and other non-government fire agencies will be displayed for people to see.

She added that they will be revisiting firefighting resources such as fire hydrants and below ground standpipes installed to check if it needs maintenance.

Dela Cruz also urged the people of San Carlos to cooperate with the firefighters with their own daily means to avoid causing fire, and reminds them that BFP is always present and be of service anytime.

This year's fire prevention month holds the theme "Sa Pag-iwas Sa Sunog, Hindi Ka Nag-iisa."

Those that participated in the motorcade included the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Philippine National Police San Carlos, San Carlos Bioenergy Inc., San Carlos BioPower, and the San Carlos City Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce Association.
