San Carlos wins Game Changer Communities Award

SAN Carlos City, Negros Occidental emerged as champion in the Environmental Management or Game Changer Communities Award among the 46 entries all over the country during its awarding ceremony through Zoom at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

The Game Changer Communities Award recognizes regional champions on solid waste, air quality, water quality management, and climate change mitigation, compiling and updating good practices on environment and natural resources management database of Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), and further encourages innovative projects, programs, and activities on environmental management.

San Carlos will receive a cash prize of P75,000, while the Top 2, which is the Province of South Cotabato in Mindanao, will receive P50,000. Top 3 Santiago City, Isabela in Luzon will receive P25,000. All winners will receive a plaque of recognition from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-EMB.
