Teresa D. Ellera

SIPALAY City will temporarily ban the entry of tourists from August 14 to August 31 amid the spike of local transmission of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

In an Executive Order, Sipalay City Mayor Ma. Gina Lizares also stated that the two-week travel ban to the city exempts highly essential visits.

She also stated that all travelers coming from and going to any declared high-risk areas shall not be allowed to enter Sipalay City except for the delivery of goods and items. The delivery personnel shall be required to present their latest medical clearance, company identification cards and delivery or travel order.

All travelers shall also be subject to an existing checkpoint and local Covid-19 protocols in the city.

Sipalay City has been known as one of the premier tourist destinations in the country because of its beautiful beaches and diving sites.
