A JOBLESS man with several stab wounds on his back was found dead in a vacant lot in Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2, Bacolod City Tuesday, December 7.

Police Station 2 commander Captain Paul Vincent Pendon identified the victim as Dennis Aranas, of Purok Magsanaya in nearby Barangay 6. He was found lying face down by a concerned citizen.

Pendon said Aranas, who was in his 40s, was positively identified by his nephew, whose name was not disclosed.

Pendon believes that Aranas was killed in another area and was only dumped at the vacant lot where he was found.

Investigation showed that before Aranas was killed, he was sighted walking along Purok Magsanaya.

Authorities already have a person of interest, but they could not yet determine the motive or possible angles behind the killing.

Pendon called on witnesses to surface and help the investigation to arrest the perpetrator.
