Pregnant public school teacher killed by husband

A PREGNANT public school teacher was allegedly killed by her husband in their residence in Barangay Taclobo, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on Tuesday, November 27.

The police identified the fatality as Vergenia Montesor, 31, from Villa Amada, EJ Blanco Extension.

The suspect was identified as Ronald Montesor, 29, from Valencia town.

Montesor reportedly covered his wife’s face with a pillow, resulting in her death.

Senior Superintendent Raul Tacaca, provincial director of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, said the Montesor killed the victim due to jealousy.

Tacaca said the suspect, who attempted to commit suicide, was arrested.

The suspect will face parricide charges. (GYM)
