Street level target yields P27,000 in shabu

An estimated P27, 2000 worth of suspected shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 6 at Purok Amaliz 1, Barangay 40, Bacolod City yesterday, November 8.

The operation led to the arrest of Roberto Sian, 47, of Barangay 40.

Police Major Leo Estopa, chief of Police Station 6, said Sian was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer around 5 a.m.

Police recovered from Sian’s possession six sachets of shabu weighing four grams and the P1,000 marked money.

Estopa said Sian was identified as a street level individual in Bacolod City. He was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 6. He is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
