Tapang assumes post as new chief of Police Station 4

BACOLOD City Police Station 4 has a new chief effective Monday, July 22.

Police Major Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said yesterday that Police Captain Rey Tolosa Jr. was replaced by Police Lieutenant Randy Tapang, a deputy chief of Bacolod Traffic Management Office (BTAO).

He said Tolosa will undergo schooling for public safety officers advance course.

The directive was signed by Police Colonel Henry Binas, director of BCPO.

Pico said that Police Major Clifford Batadhay from Police Regional Office-Western Visayas also assumed the post of Tapang as deputy chief of BTAO.

Last week, Police Lieutenant Colonel Jose Badilla also assumed as the new Deputy City Director for Administration which was earlier occupied by Police Lieutenant Colonel Leonardo Borromeo, currently the Deputy City Director for Operation of BCPO and head of City Drug Enforcement Unit.

“We will expect some changes at BCPO since there were also be some officials assigned here,” Pico said.

He said it’s only normal that police officials are reassigned to other places or police stations. (MAP)
