Troops to assist in ECQ implementation

THE 303rd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army together with other members of Inter-Agency Covid-19 have their full support in the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the Province of Negros Occidental.

This was stressed by Colonel Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd Infantry Brigade commander, on Monday, March 30.

Pasaporte said aside from the deployment of troops to man the different quarantine control points, the Army will also conduct patrol jointly with the local police to enforce the ECQ. It will likewise provide transport and manpower in hauling relief goods ready for distribution for the affected areas in the province.

Loudspeaker operations will be continued frequently in order to give awareness to the community with regards to the enhanced community quarantine.

"We will intensify our efforts to implement the enhanced community quarantine in the province by harnessing and mobilizing all our forces to support the objective of the province to contain the spread of covid19 and protect the Negrenses," he said.

"Once again, we are pleading to our fellow Negrense to cooperate with us in this endeavor. Be a hero, please stay in your home and save lives. This is the time, to show the spirit of "Bayanihan" against our fight against this unseen enemy," Pasaporte added.
