Two minors injured in shooting

TWO male teenagers were injured in separate shooting incidents in Negros Occidental on April 1.

A 17-year-old boy in La Carlota City of Barangay Batuan was standing at the roadside in the said village with his two cousins when an unidentified lone gunman passed by and fired at him.

The assailant then escaped.

The minor-victim was brought to a hospital after he sustained a lone gunshot wound on his neck. His two cousins were unharmed.

Police recovered from the scene two fired bullets of .9mm caliber pistol.

Another 17-year-old boy was also wounded after he was shot by an unidentified man at Maricalum Mining Corporation in Barangay San Jose, Sipalay City.

Police records showed that the victim was inside the mine site when he heard gunfire from a distance.

He realized he got hit on his upper left thigh and was rushed to hospital in Kabankalan City. (GYM)
