SOME 183 candidates under the United Negros Alliance (Unega) are set to meet at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center in Bago City, Negros Occidental Saturday, December 4, 2021.

Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante, secretary general of Unega, said only the candidates of the provincial party are invited to the event.

"It does not include the party members," Escalante said.

Invited are all candidates for the six congressional districts of the province down to the councilors of each town and city, he added.

Also invited were Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and former Third District congressman Alfredo Benitez, who is running for mayor of Bacolod City.

The event will be a general assembly of the party and renewal of membership, the group’s secretary general also said.

Unega has not yet officially made a declaration who are they supporting for president.
