Vallacar Transit has new prexy

THE Board of Directors of Vallacar Transit Inc. that owns the Ceres buses and four other bus companies in the different parts of the country confirmed the appointment of Roy Yanson as the new company president effective Sunday, July 7.

In a press release on Sunday, the Board confirmed that Roy Yanson replaces his brother Leo Rey Yanson who will continue to serve as director and member of the Board.

The change in leadership was the result of a special board meeting held yesterday where the board also replaced corporate officers who will work with the new company president to ensure a seamless transition of the transport firm's administration, the news release further said.

Other bus companies under the Yanson Group of Companies covered by the change of leadership are Bachelor Express, Inc. that operates in Butuan City, Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc. that operates in Cagayan de Oro City, Sugbu Transit Express and Mindanao Star Bus Transit, Inc. in Davao City.

The new team of Vallacar transit consists of Roy Yanson as President and head of operations, Ma. Lourdes Celina Yanson- Lopez as treasurer and head of Finance and Management, Information System, Emily Yanson as the Corporate Secretary and Head of Administration, Ricardo Yanson, Jr. As the Vice President for Maintenance and Atty. Jose Jonathan Ealdama as Vice President for legal.

Despite the revamp, the board assures the public, its employees and all its stakeholders that the company remains committed to serve the riding public.

The company policies and programs will remain the same and its transport services will continue to be fully operational, the news release further said. (TDE)
