Woman found dead in Cadiz

A 46-YEAR-OLD woman was found dead in a sugarcane field at Purok Zone-1, Barangay Cabahug Proper, Cadiz City on September 3.

The victim was identified as Jolita Natial, married, helper, and a resident of Purok Zone-1, Barangay Cabahug, Cadiz City

Based on the report of the Cadiz City PNP, the victim was found lying lifeless on the sugarcane field with stab wounds on her body. She was brought to Cadiz Emergency Clinic for Medical Examination but was pronounced dead on arrival (DOA) by the attending physician.

Police investigation revealed that the suspect could be known by the victim and that they are looking at old grudge as possible motive for the killing. Possible rape and robbery holdup are ruled out by the police based on their investigation.

The victim was believed to be going for work while the suspect must waited for her in the area and carried out the stabbing.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
