MANILA -- The public should expect rainy days ahead due to a low pressure area spotted at 110 kilometers east of Tayabas, Quezon, the state weather bureau reported Friday.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the country will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over northern Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said in its 5 p.m. bulletin.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing coming from the northeast and southeast with slight to moderate seas. (Virgil Lopez/Sunnex)
