Man hurt in Bacolod shooting

A 31-YEAR-OLD man was injured after he was shot at Purok Hervabuena in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City Sunday evening.

Police identified the victim as Guylee Togores, of Purok Sulom 1, Barangay Villamonte.

Police Captain Rey Tolosa Jr., chief of Police Station 4, said yesterday Togores was about to buy cigarette in a store along Purok Hervabuena when alias ‘Dennis’ fired at him using improvised firearms at about 11:30 p.m.

He said the victim sustained wound on his neck and was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, while the suspect fled.

The police is eyeing personal grudge as motive of the shooting.

Tolosa said the victim is now on stable condition, and they are still conducting follow-up operation to arrest the suspect who will be charged with frustrated murder.
