Palace appeals for privacy for Aquino

MANILA -- Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda asked for privacy for President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III amid break-up rumors with girlfriend Valenzuela Councilor Shalani Soledad.

“This is private a matter. Let us give the President the little privacy he has left,” Lacierda said.

Rumors on the alleged break-up of the couple again erupted following Soledad’s absence during Aquino's 100-day report Thursday at the La Consolacion College.

Aquino, in a separate interview in Isabela, also begged off to deny or admit the gossip asking media to keep off his private life. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
