10th BBCC open chess tourney set February 22

YOUNG woodpushers in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental will get another chance to show their potential in the upcoming 10th Barangay Bata Chess Club Open Chess Tournament 2020 on February 22 to be held at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish gym, Barangay Bata in Bacolod City.

Negrense woodpushers with a rating of under 2000 are also invited to join.

The champion of this tournament will receive P3,000, while the second placer will get P2,000 as the third finisher will take home P1,000. All the top three winners will all get trophies each. Meanwhile, P300 cash incentives and medals each await for the 4th to 10th placers.

Registration fee is pegged at P250 per player with pre-registration to end on February 21 at 6 p.m.
