SOME 20 mixed martial arts fighters faced each other at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City on August 6, 2022.

Participants include seven from Bacolod City, four from Cebu, three each from Boracay Island and Iloilo City, two from Dipolog City and another one from Davao.

Dubbed as the “Bacolod Fight Night,” it was organized by Empire Sports & Entertainment and Headrush.

In the flyweight bout, which was the main event, Bacolod City’s Frankie "Smooth" Olimpos faced Joemar "The Island Fighter" Bayang of Boracay Island, while Julius Alipato and Rio Saoy vied for the Bantamweight division belt.

Bayang was triumphant against Olimpos, whom he defeated via technical knockout in the second round of their match.

Cebu City’s pride Saoy also defeated Alipato of Bacolod, through a technical knockout in the third round.
