Bacolod United FC defends 40 Up title in 5th Ceres Cup

FORMER national player Norman Fegidero, current head coach of the University of St. La Salle, scored a hat-trick to anchor Bacolod United FC in defending their title against Football story of South Korea, 4-0, during the first day of the 5th Ceres Cup at the North Field in Talisay City.

Fegidero was also named as division's MVP in the 40 years old category.

Bayawan FC defeated Bago City FC to win the Boys 17, as STI-West Negros University settled for third place. Kyle Tuvalles was named as MVP.

For the Ladies 18, MVP Marilou Soriano anchored Sta. Barbara FC as they claimed the title over Miriam College-Manila while Ateneo de Cebu finished third.

Other age-group results for Day 1 include USP FC-Cebu City (Girls13), Don Bosco Cebu (Boys 14), Bago City FC (Boys 12) and Ateneo de Manila (Mixed 9). (HGD)
