Panasiatic wins 1st Inter BPO volleyball league

BUSINESS Processing Outsourcing (BPO) centers have embraced volleyball and Panasiatic lorded over its competitors taking home the 1st Inter BPO volleyball title on July 29 at SJI activity center in Bacolod City.

Panasiatic came from behind to beat Telesynergy after losing the first two sets in an exciting championship finale: 23-25, 17-25 25-22, 25-19 and 15-12.

Teleperformance salvaged third place winning over Iqor: 28-26, 25-21, 17-25, 24-26 and 15-13. Transcom and Convergys completed the participants in this sportsfest organized by Negros Volleyball Federation Inc. headed by Carmela Arcolas Gamboa.

Individual awards were given to standouts: April Malones of Teleperformance as the best server, best Libero is Mark Crispe of Panasiatic, best opposite spiker Gene Antonio Teng of Iqor, the best middle blocker is Sonny Allaga of Telesynergy.

Best outside hitter is Ben Positos of Panasiatic, the best setter is Timothy Edrada of Telesynergy and MVP is Jaymar Banzuela of Panasiatic.

The BPO sportsfest which started July 7 is participated by employees of the six call centers.
