2 drug suspects killed in gunfight

POLICE are trying to identify two men killed in a shootout with anti-narcotics agents on Lamut-Beckel Road in La Trinidad, Benguet.

In a report by the PDEA Cordillera, the suspect’s vehicle was being tailed by the PDEA agents who were conducting surveillance operation on Wednesday.

Upon sensing they were being followed, the suspects immediately fired at the PDEA agents resulting to a gun fight and the death of the two suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were 19 sachet of suspected shabu, two guns used by the suspects together with cartidges, and the vehicle with no motor vehicle plates.

Authorities are conducting autopsy on the remains of the two men.

In Baguio City, a suspected drug pusher was arrested by PDEA agents and police operatives of Baguio City Police Office Station 1 in a buy bust operation at Mirador Hill.

The suspect was identified as 30 years old Ryan Ander, single, and a resident of Mirador Hill. Confiscated from his possession include one sachet of suspected shabu amounting to P6,000, drug paraphernalia and buy bust money.

Ander is now under the custody of the police undergoing the process of the dispensation and filling of appropriate charges before being turned over to the PDEA Cordillera.
