28 wanted persons nabbed in first week of 2021

TWENTY-EIGHT wanted individuals were collared by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Cordillera in the first week of the year.

From January 3-9, 2021, Police Brigadier General R'win Pagkalinawan said of the 28 arrested, five were listed as most wanted person (MWP).

Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) recorded the highest number of arrests with 15, while Benguet Provincial Police Office (PPO) had six arrests, Ifugao PPO with three, and Abra and Kalinga PPO with two arrests each.

On the most wanted person (MWP), two were arrested by BCPO, while Abra PPO, Benguet PPO, and Kalinga PPO have one arrest each.

In Baguio City, Loakan Police Station (PS4) arrested Mary Ann Bangot Buenaobra in Holy Ghost Extension Barangay and Alexander Marciana Campos in Loakan Proper Barangay.

Buenaobra is facing charges for theft. She has been listed as number 4 MWP (municipal level), while Campos is facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 7610 or the "Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act."

Campos has been listed as the number 8 MWP (station level).

In Abra, Rogelio Flores Garcia was arrested in Bangued by virtue of a warrant for acts of lasciviousness in Relation to RA 7610.

Garcia has been listed as number 4 MWP (municipal level).

In Benguet, Peter John Sanchez Tamolang was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Daniel Mangallay of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 64, First Judicial Region, Buguias, Benguet for two counts of rape.

Tamolang has been listed as number 2 most wanted in the provincial level.

In Kalinga, Pancho Bacwit Wacdagan was arrested in Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga by virtue of warrants of arrest for violation of RA 7610 and RA 9262 or the "Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004."

Wacdagan has been listed as the number eight most wanted in the municipal level.
