44 nabbed in One-Iime-Big-Time operation

THE monthly simultaneous law enforcement operations of the Police Regional Office in Cordillera (PRO-COR) led to the arrest of 44 wanted persons, including seven top most wanted persons in the regional and provincial level, on October 25 and 26.

Cordillera’s ninth most wanted person, Jerry Dulnuan Bimmod aka “Tennen”, 36, was arrested in Hucab, Kiangan for rape.

Bimmod is a construction worker and resident of Caragasan, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.

This was followed by the arrest of Benguet’s second most wanted person identified as Leonard Sumigop Deg-acan, 38, in his residence in Lamagan, Baculongan Norte, Buguias, Benguet. Deg-acan is also charged with rape.

Apayao’s no. 6 most wanted person, Eric Baluyan Baggas, 33, was arrested in Sitio Bigan, Barangay Sacpil, Conner for violence against women and their children with a recommended bail bond of P120,000.

Kalinga’s no. 5 most wanted person, Ralph Palason Gamongan, 37, was nabbed in Barangay Allangigan, Conner, Apayao on October 26 for rape with no bail recommended.

Two most wanted persons in Tabuk were successively captured on the same date in their respective residences.

Tabuk’s fifth most wanted person Bawayan Sacyab, 35, was arrested for qualified theft in his residence in Purok 3, Agbannawag.

The city’s ninth most wanted, Chorad Batang-ay, 28, was collared for arson.

Thirty seven other wanted persons were arrested regionwide for various crimes committed mostly rape, and theft cases.

Police Chief Superintendent Rolando Nana lauded the operating units for a job well-done and emphasized the importance of collective efforts of the local government units and the general public.

He encouraged involvement in all programs of the Cordillera police especially in reporting crime, which has led to the apprehension of criminals.
