Abra businessman shot dead

A BUSINESSMAN was gunned down by still unidentified suspects at a slaughterhouse in Barangay Poblacion, Tayum, Abra in the morning of March 17.

A report by the Tayum Municipal Police Station identified the victim as Rodolfo Belleza, 56, married and a resident of Tayum.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was selling pork in front of their house when an unidentified perpetrator/s shot him and fled on board a motorcycle after the incident.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds on his right chest and left stomach.

A Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team recovered two spent cartridges of caliber .45, while a CCTV footage was also obtained for review and possible identification of the assailant or assailants.

The victim’s body was brought to Pineda Funeral for autopsy examination. But the Belleza family refused.
