BAGUIO beauty Roxanne Allison Baeyens bagged the Miss Philippines Earth 2020 crown Sunday, July 5.

The Miss Philippines Earth was held online, signaling a new normal for beauty tilts in the time of the pandemic with the theme "eco angels."

Baeyens was asked during the question and answer portion: "What important quality should a leader display amid a pandemic?" to which she replied: "A leader should display having a green thumb because, at this point in time, we have a shortage in food supply. So, it's important to open the eyes of people to embrace having a sustainable life to start urban agriculture at their own homes. After all, having a green life is a better life, and I hope the leader will give that to us."

Baeyens, born and raised in the City of Pines, traces her mother's roots from Besao, Mountain Province, while her father is from Belgium.

A graduate of Baguio City National High School, she completed her college education at Saint Louis University.

Baeyens was also declared Darling of the Press with the Eco-Video award, Beauty of Face, Best Eco Video, and Best Covid Craze outfit. She placed third in the Best Beach Wear competition and landed a spot among the Hana Beauties.

The winners of the other titles are Miss Philippines Air Patrixia Santos of Daraga, Albay; Miss Philippines Fire Shane Tormes, from Atimonan, Quezon; Miss Philippines Water Gianna Llanes of Mandaluyong City; and Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism Illysa Mendoza, of Melbourne, Australia.
