Bayanihan in Abra

ARUB-UBAN, the Tinguian term for bayanihan, is practiced in Lagayan, Abra, as tribal folk handcraft a temporary wooden, hanging bridge that was severely damaged and swept away by raging currents.

Municipalities around Abra is crisscrossed by the Abra River's tributaries with majority of the population needing to cross the river in order to reach their communities and farmlands. (Ezekiel Parado)
