FOLLOWING the customary tradition of "Baddang" or the Ifugao system of Bayanihan, the Ifugao Provincial Police Office (Ippo) donated P134,300 to the victims of Typhoon Ulysses in the province.

The Ifugao police personnel contributed portions of their salary to help the affected families. These cash donations were personally handed over to the families of the 13 victims of landslides, 11 were from Banaue and the rest are from Hungduan and Mayoyao.

Other cash donations were used to purchase rice and grocery items distributed to other people affected by the typhoon.

Relief operations in Ifugao province are continuously conducted through collection, hauling, and distribution of goods.

Also, the search and retrieval operation for the missing person identified as Clever Piog in Sitio Nabito, Banaue, Ifugao, is ongoing.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera assured continuous assistance of the Regional Command to the affected families in the region.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit.
