THE Philippine National Police (PNP) transmitted to Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan the new shortlist of senior police officers who are qualified to serve as the new city director of the Baguio city Police Office (BCPO).

The new shortlist was transmitted by Chief Superintendent Rolando Nana, regional director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera.

He said the local chief executive is given at least 10 days to recommend his choice for the next BCPO chief. A local screening committee will then evaluate the candidate.

Among those included in the shortlist are Senior Superintendent Agustin Tello, former BCPO city director Senior Superintendent George Daskeo, former Benguet Provincial Police Office director Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, Senior Superintendent Pedro Suliba and BCPO acting city director Eliseo Tanding.

Earlier, the PNP transmitted to Domogan the first shortlist of the qualified senior police officers from whom he will select the next BCPO chief but the local chief executive returned to the PNP the said shortlist after two of the recommended candidates begged off from the screening process because they were appointed to higher positions in the police force.
