THE Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (MIATF) in La Trinidad said there will be no engagement with the people in the community for the upcoming photoshoot of Miss Universe Philippines this month.

Mayor Romeo Salda, who chairs the MIATF, said while the visit of Miss Universe Philippines is endorsed by the municipality, organizers and other stakeholders must stick to the itinerary and maintain health safety protocols.

Valred Olsim, municipal tourism officer, said that following a meeting last week, the Municipal Council reiterated no engagement with the people in the areas identified for the photoshoot.

As per MIATF, the identified shoots will be closed to the public.

To avoid gathering in one area, the creative director for the photoshoot also proposed to divide the number of candidates.

Prior to the visit, Olsim, together with members of the safety protocols monitoring team, discussed safety precautions that need to be observed.

The MIATF emphasized for the Miss Universe photoshoot to follow their itinerary and observe physical distancing, proper wearing of face shield and face mask.

Another condition set before entering the town is that the candidates should have undergone triage and swab testing.

The Benguet police were also tapped for the security plans.
