P530,000 worth of hemp uprooted in Kibungan

ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives eradicated 2,550 fully grown marijuana plants worth P530,000 in Barangay Poblacion, Kibungan, Benguet.

On October 14, joint operatives of Kibungan Municipal Police Station, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Branch, Benguet Provincial Police Office and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Cordillera Administrative Region discovered the marijuana plants in two sites.

They discovered an estimated 2,500 fully grown marijuana plants grown on a 500-square-meter lot. Later on, they found 50 fully grown marijuana plants on an estimated 600-square-meter lot.

The plants were destroyed and the cultivators were arrested.
