PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Neptali Camsol, son of the late Apolinario Camsol as new Board Member of Benguet.

Camsol, 70, from Abatan, Buguias, passed away July 25, 2019.

The young Camsol took his official oath of office led by Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas on February 3 at the provincial capitol.

Vice Governor Johnny Waguis said the new board member will be joining the regular session of the provincial board next week where several committees will be assigned to him.

The late Camsol served as a three-term Buguias mayor from 1992 to 1998 and 2001 to 2004, before serving as a provincial board member from 2004 to 2013 and 2016 to 2019.

During the May 2019 local and national elections, he was again re-elected as provincial board member of the second district.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
