The PNP Swat challenge is a tactical game, part of the PNP’s master training action plan for 2018 geared to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency as well as the tactical proficiency of the different PNP SWAT Units.

It was developed as a continuous program to test and upgrade the skills and operational capabilities of all Swat units in handling practical and realistic scenarios in counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism.

The PNP 2nd Swat Challenge was participated by 86 teams coming from different units of the PNP and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

It was organized by the Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development (DHRDD), PNP in cooperation with the Philippine Shooters and Match Officers Confederation (PSMOC).

“I am proud of our RMFB 15 personnel, being our front liners in the said competition, we need to give them the best training and equipment to enhance their skills, capabilities, accuracy and team work, not only to win the next PNP Swat Challenge but to win our actual fight against terrorism and insurgency,” Chief Superintendent Rolando Nana, PRO-Cordillera regional director said.

During the PNP 1st Swat Challenge held last March this year, PRO-Cordillera landed 7th place.
