VARIOUS tourist destinations in the town of Tublay in Benguet were opened for residents.

Tublay Mayor Armando Lauro signed Executive Order 73, establishing the general guidelines governing the operation of tourism sites and activities in the town.

Tourist destinations opened to residents are Ahonda Caves, rock formations and jungle adventure and Balete Tree located in Barangay Tuel, the Ridge Café and Polig's Berry Farm both located in Barangay Ambassador.

"A clamor for the reopening of tourism sites and activities in the municipality has been considered by the local government in deep concern of the need of the people to restore their physical and mental state through visit of tourism sites in the town," he added.

The mayor said stakeholders visiting the particular sites must still strictly observe safety protocols and guidelines.

Residents visiting the sites are required to have barangay pass or any ID proving they are residents of Tublay.

The chief executive said overcrowding is also prohibited and asked constituents to maintain social distancing, provide signs and markings to ensure that guests remain at least one meter apart and sign in the provided logbook at the entrance.

The information must contain their full name, contact number, address, and body temperature.

Personnel of the Tublay Municipal Police Station, barangay officials and designated health and safety protocol officer are tasked to oversee the compliance to health and safety protocols such as wearing of face mask, face shield, physical distancing, availability of hand sanitizers, or disinfectants.

Moreover, bikers or riders must carry updated health declaration forms.

The identified tourist areas open to residents will be open from six in the morning to seven in the evening.
