TWENTY-FOUR micro and small entrepreneurs from Bukidnon graduated in June after completing the 12-week mentorship program conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Bukidnon.

Belonging to the third batch of the Kapatid Mentor Me program, these entrepreneurs are engaged in food processing, food and beverages, agro-farm ventures, printing services, construction, and other services.

According to DTI-Bukidnon, the modules introduced during the mentorship include business model canvas, entrepreneurial mind-setting and values formation, marketing, operations management, and supply value chain, among others.

These entrepreneurs were also given the chance to showcase their business improvement plans to the panellists.

DTI said the panelists consist of representatives from various banking institutions, government agencies, Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, and MSMED Council.

"Presenting their business improvement plan is one of the requirements to graduate of the Mentor Me Program after applying all the learnings of the mentoring sessions," DTI added.

Kapatid Mentor Me Program is a coaching and mentoring project that seeks to help micro and small business scale up thru sessions done by mentors, who are business owners or practitioners across different functional areas of entrepreneurship.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
