Below 20 active cases in Cagayan de Oro

CAGAYAN de Oro's active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases were already below 20 as of April 4, 2022, after the City Health Office logged 17 active cases.

Of the 17 active infections in the city, nine were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, seven were outpatients, and one returning overseas Filipino/locally stranded individual.

According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr., Cagayan de Oro recorded only two new cases, one of which was an index case and the other was a local authorized person outside residence (Apor).

The index case is a 34-year-old male from Barangay Mambuaya and the Apor is a 24-year-old female from Barangay Patag. Both of them were vaccinated.

The cumulative number of infections in the city is now at 25,801, while the number of recoveries is at 24,849.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remains at 935.
