CHINA Bank recently opened its seventh branch in Cagayan de Oro, bringing its total number of branches nationwide to 478.

"We're so happy talaga to be in the uptown. It's long overdue. Many are so happy about this, even our existing clients," China Bank area head Agnes Adviento said.

According to Agnes, the China Bank SM City Cagayan de Oro uptown branch, which is located on the ground floor of SM Northwing, is strategically located as it is near the entrance of SM Northwing's parking space, as well as in front of the mall's department store entrance.

Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy graced the opening and blessing of the China Bank SM City Cagayan de Oro uptown branch, as he expressed his support for the economic recovery efforts of the business sector in the city.

"We're very honored with the presence of Mayor Klarex Uy and former City Councilor Edna Dahino to greet us on this memorable occasion," Adviento said.

"I hope many Kagay-anons will come and see not only the beautiful Northwing of SM uptown but also China Bank," she added.

Also present during the opening were former councilor Edna Dahino, Ruben Vegafria of Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce, City Information Officer Ivy Guantero, SM City Cagayan de Oro Mall Manager Bernadette Flores and SM Regional Operations Manager Joey Tumolva.
