Indonesian businessmen eye investments in Oro

BUSINESSMEN from Indonesia have expressed interest to pour investments in Cagayan de Oro City and nearby areas in Northern Mindanao.

Last February 13, Acting Consul General Endah Yuliarti Farry of the Republic of Indonesia and Vice Consul Ely Syafitri Handayani visited and talked with Mayor Oscar Moreno and Local Economic Investment Promotions officer Eileen San Juan on possible investment opportunities in the city.

According to Consul General Farry, some huge businessmen in Indonesia are interested to build an energy and palm production in Cagayan de Oro City.

Moreno, for his part, is looking forward for the possible investments in the city, as this will give job opportunity for jobless Kagay-anons.

This will also improve the economy of not just Cagayan de Oro City but also of the whole Northern Mindanao.

On the same day, Farry and Handayani, together with Rodel Libabone and Geovani Mocodompis of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, sat with the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation Inc. Board of Trustees to discuss possible collaborations and partnership in various sector between Indonesia and Cagayan de Oro business sector to enhance further the Indonesian-Philippine bilateral relationship.
