ISOBEL Teano, representing the municipality of Opol, won the Best in Swimsuit Award in Miss Kuyamis 2020 during the swimsuit competition last December 27 at Lohas Airport Hotel in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental.

Wearing the stunning creation of Kagay-anon fashion designer Bea Bianca Mackey, the 21 candidates from different towns and cities of the province captured the audiences’ and the panel of judges’ attention.

However, it was Teano’s performance that gained the judges’ favor.

“I really did not expect this. I just really did my best and I just go with the flow and everything happen for a reason. I am so thankful that it has to be me. I am so overwhelmed,” Teano said.

As the Best in Swimsuit awardee, she will be receiving a P5,000 worth cash prize, which will be handed over during the coronation night on January 9.

Apart from Teano, Sheena Balansag of Talisayan, Veronica Yvette Valdez of Alubijid, Esel Ponce of Lugait, and Pauline Feranil of Gingoog City were among the top 5 candidates who wore their swimsuit the best.

Meanwhile, the top 6 for the Miss Kuyamis Festival Attire Competition has been announced, namely (in alphabetical order): Veronica Yvette Valdez of Alubjid, Danielle Arceo of Balingasag, Yanese Cullamat of Binuangan, Pauline Feranil of Gingoog City, Briza Louise Ratilla of Magsaysay, and Sheena Balansag of Talisayan.

Their attires will be exhibited at Centrio Ayala Mall during the week-long celebration of the 7th Kuyamis Festival on January 6 to 11.
