Talisayan best other towns in Kuyamis Street Dance Competition

THE contingent from the municipality of Talisayan was adjudged champion in the Kuyamis Street Dance Competition and bagged four special awards on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at the Misamis Oriental Integrated Sports Complex.

Following a series of dances of the contingents in their Kuyamis-inspired costumes, the winners were awarded with cash prizes and trophies.

Talisayan, the champion team, received P250,000 cash prize and P1 million worth of projects.

Arianne Dumangcas was given a special citation as the choreographer of the Talisayan team, which led them to win the Best in Choreography. Other special awards received by the municipality were Best in Musicality, Best in Street Dance, and Best in Storyline.

Meanwhile, the municipality of Balingoan and Gingoog City won the second and third places, respectively.

The Street Dance Competition, which is one of the highlights of the Kuyamis Festival, was participated by 15 contingents from various municipalities and cities of Misamis Oriental.

Other activities include the Miss Kuyamis 2020 Coronation Night on Thursday, January 9; Explore MisOr Mindanao Overland Expedition; 1st Governor Bambi Emano Autocross and Car Show Opening Program; and Queen of Misamis Oriental 2020.
