1 new Covid-19 case recorded in Cagayan de Oro

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro is still low, as the city recorded only one new Covid-19 case over the weekend, the City Health Office reported Monday, June 6, 2022.

This brought the number of Covid-19 cases in the city to 25,888.

According to the City Health Office medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr., the one new local index case involved a vaccinated 46-year-old female from Barangay Gusa who is currently admitted in the Northern Mindanao Medical Center.

Cagayan de Oro's active cases have also gone down to 11, of which two were admitted in Northern Mindanao Medical Center and nine were outpatients.

The city's total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro is at 24,936, while the number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remains at 941 in total.
