13 new Covid-19 cases in Oro over the weekend

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to drop, with 13 additional cases reported over the weekend.

The city now has a total of 20,336 Covid-19 cases.

The City Health Office said of the 13 local cases, six were local index cases, four were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, one local authorized person outside residence (Apor), and two mortalities.

The active cases in Cagayan de Oro went down to 370, of which 76 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 288 were outpatients, and four were ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered an increase in the number of new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered."

Over the weekend, the city recorded 93 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,122.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 844.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
