19 new Covid-19 cases in Oro over the weekend

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to drop, as the city recorded 19 new cases over the weekend, bringing the cumulative confirmed cases to 20,095.

The City Health Office said that among the 19 local cases, 13 were local index cases, four were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, and two local authorized persons outside residence (Apors).

Likewise, the active cases in Cagayan de Oro went down to 495, of which 82 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 410 were outpatients, and three were ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered an increase in the number of new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered."

Over the weekend, the city recorded 35 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 18,950.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 839, with no new recorded deaths.
