2 killed in Friday the 13th road mishap

TWO people on a motorcycle were killed in a road crash along Sayre Highway, Upper Puerto, Cagayan de Oro City on Friday the 13th.

Police Captain Mario Mantala, Police Station 6 chief, identified the victims as Joel Sadlucap, 33, resident of Mambatangan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, and Hermer Clavejo, 35, resident of Balubal, Cagayan de Oro.

Investigation disclosed that the motorcycle of the victims collided with a prime mover truck parked along the side of the road. The victims died on the spot.

Mantala said the victims came from the Villanueva town, Misamis Oriental, where they attended the town’s fiesta celebration. He said it was possible that the victims were intoxicated.

The driver of the prime mover truck, identified as Joaquin Alcala, a resident of Barangay Dansolihon, is under police custody.
