21 new cases, zero deaths recorded in Cagayan de Oro

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to drop after the city recorded 21 new cases, the City Health Office reported.

This brought the number of Covid-19 cases in the city to 20,003.

According to the City Health Office, of the 21 new local cases, nine were local index case, eight were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, three were local authorized persons outside of residence (Apors), and one Apor with link.

Cagayan de Oro's active cases has also gone down to 815, of which 247 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city; 565 were outpatients, and three ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 158 new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 18,352.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the city has remained at 836.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 4,998, the City Health Office reported.

According to the City Health Office, of the 4,998 vaccinees, 3,109 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine; 924 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca; 337 with Pfizer; 295 with Sputnik V; 304 with Janssen; six with Sinopharm; and 23 with Moderna.
